Oftentimes feeling stuck is a symptom of having too much on your plate. You may be feeling overwhelmed and do not know where to begin to tackle everything on your to-do list. Your mind is crowded with all the things and it is important to move away from this feeling in order to thrive.
If this is you, follow my 4-Step Lifestyle Framework and get moving in the right direction:
Step 1: Learn The Areas of Self-Care
Read up on all the areas of self-care. From the psychological to the social to the financial; all these areas are crucial to know about in order to have your best self-care experience. Many sources will quote there are 7 areas of self-care. However, I truly believe there are 11 areas of self-care. To learn more about these areas, you can take my short course on the 11 areas of self-care to expand your learning.
Step 2: Take the Self-Care Assessment
Discover, what area of self-care needs you the most and get started on working through that area of your life. Don’t know how to do this? This Self-Care Course will get you started with not only the learning of each area, but also provide you with a workbook that will walk you through the steps in conducting your self-care area assessment. Taking an inventory into your life will help you take away the chaos and overwhelm and put it down on paper so you can easily go from feeling stuck to identifying where to begin.
Step 3: Add Self-Care Activity To Your Life
Add the first step in your self-care roadmap into an actionable item in your life. If you identify that the physical area of your life needs you the most, a first step might be to begin adding walking into your daily life. This may mean that you begin by adding a 5-minute walk to your calendar once a week, three times a week or at whatever speed you know will work for you.
Step 4: Buddy Up for Accountability
Studies show that if you pair up with another person who is supportive and also in need of support in one area of their life, you can achieve more success. Therefore, it is encouraged to find a person who can provide the support you need to give you motivation and inspire you to be your best self. A thought would be to pair up with someone who has achieved success in that area of their life and can guide you to achieve a similar outcome. Provide support for your buddy as well in an area that they need help with.
