About The Dear Mommy Party
Hi There, I'm Elizabeth
I’ve had a passion for working with the various life transitions a woman faces throughout her lifetime. I became passionate for this topic early on in college when I wrote a research paper in the year 1996 on having children through surrogacy. This topic opened up an awareness for me on the alternative and fascinating ways that women can become mothers. Yet, it also allowed me to how this road can also be painful at times and difficult to navigate alone.
Becoming a mother of twins also opened my eyes to how challenging and isolating it can often feel to parent. No matter how much we see on social media, motherhood can be overwhelming and stressful and sometimes comes with guilt and shame. I wanted to create something that helped mothers break through these barries and be their best mom self. The one they picutured themselves being prior to their child’s arrival into their life.
So yes, I am also silly, can survive on pizza and bean burritos for days, love all shades of pink, and dream of eating creme brulee at the eiffel tower restaurant once again, but I am a sucker for helping children have fulfilling happy lives and I know I can do this by helping the moms that raise them.Did I mention, I love fuzzy socks!Elizabeth
